Description: For any level of professional engaging in negotiations, mediation, or ADR with Tribes. This training applies the Interest-Based Negotiations model, with innovative modifications for tribes. This half-day intensive combines engaging lecture with hands-on exercises.

Morning Lectures: This course gives participants a proven negotiation strategy adapted for use with Tribes. Whether brand new or seasoned experts, participants will gain basic and advanced techniques they can immediately apply to their work with Tribal organizations. The course provides an introduction to negotiations with Tribes, a review of the Interest-Based Negotiation (IBN) model (Fisher & Ury); the critical concept of sovereignty,; and the transformative multi-dimensional analysis. This class is loaded with exciting concepts for use in negotiations, mediation, ADR, or large consensus/stakeholder engagement processes. Whether you’re looking to negotiate a lemonade stand license from a Tribal Business Council or mediate a settlement agreement to avoid a multi-million dollar trial, this course will give you transformative tools and insights.
